With Fast Roaming Disable, you got 802.11 d/e/i/k/v

With Fast Roaming Enable 802.11 - d/e/i/k/r(Roaming)/v

4 Decos units running amazing fast.

Iphone 6s Wifi test.

Full coverage @ home with 5300sqft (600m2).

Deco is one amazing product if you configure your network in right way. avoid noise, avoid double nat, avoid any mistake!

So a steady red? I think I had a pulsing red and "offline" and no internet. Deco app could not find my router. Hard Reseting didn't get rid of it either. I ended up deleting the profile, swapping one on my satellite M5 to be my main Deco (attached to a VDSL modem), setting up the router, and performing the update again. It worked but the network was pretty flaky and I needed to completely reinstall two wireless printers to get them back on the network.

Upgrade of two M5s went smoothly. I had turned on the roaming feature. The main issue is that the units boot up fine but after a day or so both turn solid red. Internet works and the app shows both are online. Ideas?

Is Fast Roaming a good thing to remain enabled? Or depends of something?

Generally speaking, if we enable this feature, we can enjoy better roaming.
However, some old devices do not support 802.11r roaming protocol, they may disconnect if we enable it.
Therefore, it depends on your current devices. If all your clients support 802.11r, you may keep it enabled to get better roaming connection.

If any trouble with old devices don't need disable feature, just "forgot" network on old device and connect again. old device read and avoid R feature and keeps connected without trouble.

Is there any way to do this update in a safe way?

I'm hesitating to do this, or any future, update, since it's not 100% safe to do it.

And today (23/7) there is yet another post about connection problems after this update. I have decided to jump ship and wait for the next one.

Next report of problems after update today, 24/7

Btw, it’s not always red. Sometimes red sometimes green. Always ok regardless of color so I disabled the LED...
