Hi,

I just bought the archer C5400 and it's a great router so far. However I have a challenge getting my dynamic DNS working from Google domains.
From instructions I found online, I should be able to use the DyNS option together with the login and password from my dns and the domain.
This is not working for me, I get the error all the time that the username and password is incorrect while I copy pasted it repeatedly.

Is there a way to solve this?

If you use IP address to login, the same username and password are correct?

have you tried with different clients?

Hi Aprilcoco, thanks for having a look.
Yes, I used different clients and copy pasted the username and password everytime

I tried it with both provider NO-IP and aswell DynDNS and with 3 different dynamic DNS adresses from my domain from Google domains.

I fill in the specific domain name like for example routing.myhome.com and the provided login and password from google for that name...i also tried to use google.domains.com as domain name.

Not sure what you are connecting. On my DVR when I use the DNS, I use the server port not the HTTP port. So it may be the port number you are using.

Example:
Alias dvr
Register mode IP/Domain
Address xxxxxx.dvrlists.com
Port 8000
User DVR user id / password

Let us know what works.

I am just trying to setup a google dynamic dns on my router in such a way that I can use it for an open VPN server and remote connection to my web UI
