I haven't found an explicit 'Router Mode' setting for the AC900. I want to use it in AP mode so I expected to be able to disable the WAN interface from the GUI. Also I'm used to having a gateway IP setting so the router knows where to find an internet connection (for firmware upgrade etc).

Currently I have no connection to the WAN connector and DHCP server is disabled as indicated in the manual.

LAN IP and subnet mask is correctly set and wireless clients have internet access as expected.

However - the router itself has no internet access (failing firmware checks) and we cannot access the router config web pages from computers on another subnet, despite that we can access all other devices on the AC900's subnet.

I suspect that these problems are due to the fact that we haven't been able to assign a gateway address to the AC900 when it is in AP mode.

Please comment on this.
