Region : Germany

Model : TL-WDR4300

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version : TL-WDR4300_V1.0_120810

ISP :

I will expand the WLAN signal and I configure the WDS Bridge as is in the document "How to Configure WDS Bridging on TP-LINK Dual Band Routers".
But for the WPA2 there is no possibilities to establish the connection.
I have read differents forums and this seems to be a common problem.
My question is what can I do? Is there any firmware where this problem is already fixed?
Or is there any other possibility to set up WDS Bridge with WPA2?

For v1.2 there is no 3-rd part firmware available yet.

Best Regards

Is it WPA2-PSK or WPA2-enterprise? if it is the enterprise one, it seems TP-LINK router does not support WPA2 at all since there is no option for WPA2 on the WDS setup page. Maybe this is a limitation with WDS function?

the 3-rd part firmware will void the warranty. I don't think it's a good solution.

It is WPA2-PSK. There is no any notes that this mode is not supported, so it seems to be a bug.
After configuration there is needed reboot and then all became "death", only hard reset help.

Yeah, WPA2-PSK should be supported when setting up the WDS. If it is bug, you should feedback to the tp-link.
To Joy,
There is an option WPA-PSK/ WPA2-PSK on the WDS setup page.
