Hello,

Is it suppose to be happening? I have a router that goes up to channel 165 in 5ghz frequency but my TP LINK RE200 V2 does not.

Thanks

Best Regards,

There are several sets of channel in 5GHz Wi-Fi , see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels

36-48 (mostly used) is usually called band1 and  149-161 (high frequency) is usually called band4.

And others such as DFS channel

5GHz channel 165 is used in Band4.  Because it is using high frequency, it measn higher singal and high power.

So some countries don't allow router's to use this channels

As far as i know, EU banned all channel in Band4 in CE standard

If you are living in a EU country, you will see channel 149-165 not available on routers and extenders
