Hi to all

 

I bought a new Archer C9 v5.0 (EU).

The installed firmware version is:   1.2.1 Build 20180328 rel.2212(4555)

Router has mark on update and show me online upgrade as: 1.2.2 Build 20180423 rel.85787

In the download section for Archer C9 is also Archer C9(EU)_V5_180423

which I suppose is the same.

Also in that download section is missing the original version - 1.2.1 Build 20180328 meaning I haven't backup of original firmware.

 

So the hamlet question is: How can I make a backup of current firmware???

 

(You know in the System Tools can be prepared backup just of current settings - not whole firmware!)

are you finding the firmware 1.2.1 Build 20180328 rel.2212(4555)

I do not know of any way to backup the existing firmware on any modem. Just the existing settings. 

 

I keep a copy of the of the existing firmware update package on my computer before loading it to my router so I have it in case I need to go back a level which I had to do. I also kept a old "G" router that I can use in case I brick my current router.   

 

If you find a way, please post it for us.

I also can't find any way to prepare a backup of current, but found the image of original firmware and will keep it as spare.
