Hello, i just bought this router, all good until i had to upload wireless over ftp or samba. It is version 8.2

Firmware Version:
3.13.27 Build 120802 Rel.51024n
Hardware Version:
WR841N v8 00000000

I bought this router for the advertised 300 mbs, my last 150 router was giving me 6/7 mbs over wireless upload on ftp. Tp link router is giving me 800 k.

Download works on wi fi , i got 9,3 mbs from a 150 N adapter.

I really need a solution to use the routers full wireless capacity when uploading , any suggestions are welcomed.

Thank you.


P.S I tried all security options , even mac filtering . And i am trying to ftp over network , not the internet.

How about changing the wireless channel to 1, 6 or 11 on the router ?

ad speed with an ethernet cable connected?
and how many computers are there connected to the router?
you can try to move the computer a little closer to the wireless router.
and you can also change the channel width to 20MHz

On cable the speed is ok , 12mb/s, but i need it on wireless, thats why i bought a wireless router.

1 computer is permanently connected to the router. And the other pc i try to ftp to is just 2 meteres away from router, same room.

Channel width 20/40 or auto. Same speed.
