@BenGinders Yea that must be correct as you got 1.4.5 as beta and i got 1.4.4 rev change as beta.
If 1.4.5 is working as expected, then i dont think you need an update.
:)
THE BEST SOLUTION TO KEEP OUT OF ISSUES IS TO RUN THE DECO IN ACCESS POINT MODE. SO FAR SO GOOD!
NB: I find one thing that TPlink doesnt support downgrade of firmwares. But if we load old beta firmware. it will get flashed without error(tried with 1.4.2 from 1.4.4 and it worked)

@janoosti I don't see any features marked out in Access point mode.
Yes,downgrading should be enabled.

Is the 1.4.5 upgrade available for Deco E4R? I'm using this version and been experiencing the same problem lately.. I checked my firmware version and it's still 1.1.1

If anyone has tried the access point setup, can you tell me if the random disconnecting still happens?
pros- I am able to get connectivity even if i'm at the very opposite side of the house which was a problem with my old wifi router. The wifi signal is strong with the deco 5 but that's only when there aren't random disconnections.
con - random disconnecting and the deco5 and smartjack or modem has to be restarted a few times a day.
