Option to change 2.4GHz channel + width (20/40MHz)?

Also would be nice if we could to change the wifi channels in advanced settings. Will this be added to a new FW soon?

2.4GHz channel width
Channel width controls how large of a "pipe" 'is available to transfer data. However, larger channels are more subject to interference and more likely to interfere with other devices. A 40MHz channel is sometimes called a wide channel, and a 20MHz channel is a narrow channel.
Set to: 20MHz
Use 20MHz channels in the 2.4GHz band. Using 40MHz channels in the 2.4GHz band can cause performance and reliability issues with your network, especially in the presence of other Wi-Fi networks and other 2.4GHz devices. A 40MHz channel might also cause interference and issues with other devices that use this band, such as Bluetooth devices, cordless phones, and neighboring Wi-Fi networks. Routers that don't support 40MHz channels in the 2.4GHz band do support 20MHz channels.

This is a concern to me too!
I am considering getting a BE85 3-pack and having only noticed TP-Link recently thought I'd buy an XE75 3-pack to see if TP-Link have actually got a sound mesh system (which I can't say about ASUS or Netgear).
But reading this it seems that the firmware maintainers at TP-Link are barely competent so maybe this is a waste of time and money.
Consider this, I have somewhere in the vicinity of 40 IoT devices.
My Solar System WiFi has shown to be poor and will disconnect if the wireless channel changes so I must choose a specific channel to avoid that.
It's really annoying to have to reboot the Solar system, sometimes, two ot three times a day.
My 2.4Ghz WiFi is set to be 20/40Mhz and every single IoT device I have connects at 20Mhz.
I don't really use the 2.4Ghz network for anything other than IoT devices and I have in the order of between 85-100 WiFi devices on my network at any given time.
But according to what has been said here the Deco system sets the 2.4Ghz wireless to 40Mhz only which, for devices that insist on 20Mhz, usually means no connection.
That choice is, to be knid, stupid, at the very least it should be set to 20/40Mhz with an option to disable it so that only 20Mhz connections are possible.
I have to say that after hearing this there probably will be no more TP-Link smart plugs, no more TP-Link smart lights and no TP-Link routers.

@raven-au To make things even worse there is no way to set a channel manually and the optimize feature will often put the channel to 12 or 13 which many devices are unable to even see the network on.

@krzysiek2023 And your neighbors will love you for that! It is totally unacceptable that they use so much space on 2.4 GHz. The local internet provider Ziggo in NL should stop selling these wifi extenders!!!!

is there any update for this? this is very critical for me since it is really giving me bad 2.4ghz performance. with my previous access point, 20mhz is always stable while 40mhz is bad so i always sticked with 20mhz. i suspect this is the case too with my new decos.
