@Sultanmsa I have the same issue, my service is fiber 500Mbps (symmetrical) and I can achieve about 459 down but upload is only 23!!! I just replaced a Nighthawk AX8 with this TP-Link AX50 because Netgear's firmware are plagued with issues that translate in constant disconnects. Now the TP-Link is much more stable (no disconnects at all) but the QoS destroys my upload connection speed in standard mode, and any other combination will throttle down the whole network to bearly 100Mbps.  Please add the capability to turn off QoS so I don’t have to return this router and try yet another brand.

Here's my test results as I've tried to figure this out on my AX11000:

 

Speedtest.net using old Verizon provided router:

 

Server: Branchburg, NJ 427 down/865 up

Server: Washington, DC 368 down/862 up

Server: Baltimore, MD 522 down/787 up

 

Speedtest.net using AX11000 in router mode (3 minutes later):

 

Server: Branchburg, NJ 302 down/375 up

Server: Washington, DC 442 down/293 up

Server: Baltimore, MD 449 down/316 up

 

Results were similar with 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 firmware.

 

I then tried different test sites with the AX11000 in AP then router mode:

 

Google Fiber Speed Test (AP mode): 723 down/862 up

Google Fiber Speed Test (router mode): 716 down/558 up

 

Fast.com Speed Test (AP mode): 750 down/600 up

Fast.com Speed Test (router mode): 690 down/490 up

 

AT&T Speed Test (AP mode): 599 down/888 up

AT&T Speed Test (router mode): 617 down/596 up

@ssgenesis  I am Convinced TPLink works for the cable companies to purposely slow down our traffic. Since by law the cable companies are not allowed to slow you down, their is no law that prevents router or wifi equipment from slwoing you down. I won't put it past them. 🤔

I just bought this router and am having the same issues. My upload speed automatically goes to half my download speed. I was using the fios provided router before and had no problems with speed but bought this router for the range. Also this upload issue only seems to be a problem with wireless devices. my PC wired to the router directly has full upload speeds.

After more than a month, I am getting normal speeds. One thing that I have discovered is that, after a day or two of heavy use, my ISP modem start to lose quite a number of packets. I have noticed it when I was running a VoIP app (TeamSpeaker) and I was the only one getting a choppy voice. When I rebooted my ISP modem, everything started to work flawlessly again and I could get full download and upload speeds. In this scenario, when my ISP modem was suffering from this problem, connecting to it directly provided better speeds. After a cold boot, the download and upload were the same in both devices (my ISP modem and the AX6000).

 

It is though quite strange since I had not experienced this problem (low upload speeds) with my old wifi router, WR941ND. One thing that has changed is that it was using 100 Mbps Ethernet before and now the AX6000 uses a 1 Gbps connection. Maybe this is triggering the problem in my ISP modem.

I was experiencing the same issue, but after reading your message I decided to try disconnecting things one at a time.

 

I have 750mbps up and down but was only getting around 200mbps up max. The router was connected to a wifi extender that Telus provided, the ActionTec web6000q. I decided to connect my router straight to the ethernet connection and remove the web6000q from the network and that resolved the issue. (Now the web6000q is sitting in a box, doing nothing)

 

My internet download and uploads speeds are what I expect them to be now 750mbps up and down. 

What's interesting is, I did not experience this issue when I had my AC3200 from Tp-link connected to the wifi extender.

 

Anyways, thanks for your comment! This helped me resolve my issue. I created this account so I could message you my thanks and also to help others that may want to try troubleshooting by disconnecting hardware in between.

@tiptech Hi!!!! I'm very glad to hear that you could resolve your issue.

 

I think that we can now state without any doubt, that Tplink new firmwares are (to some degree) incompatible with several of routers, ONT, extenders, etc.

 

We can only hope that Tplink, with all the info provided, would investigate, find and correct this error.

Unfortunately the new firmware did nothing to improve my speeds :(

 

1. The current network diagram. How do you connect these network devices together?

 

ISP: AT&T Fiber (gigabit)

ISP Modem: ARRIS BGW210-700 (bridge mode - passthrough, Firewall OFF)

 

Archer AX6000 v1 connected to ARRIS port1 (set to 1000 full duplex or auto - makes no difference)

AX6000 operation mode: Router

 

2. The bandwidth you paid for your ISP and the actual speed you can get from the Archer AX6000. Including wired speed and wireless speed. You can show us the screenshots of the speed test results respectively. 

 

Speedtest from AT&T ARRIS

 

 

Speedtest from AX6000 (firmware updated to 1.1.0 Build 20200427 rel.80857(5553) on 06/05/2020)

 

 

3. Is there any advanced feature you have enabled? 

 

Home Care: OFF or ON makes no difference 

Firewall: OFF or ON makes no difference 

QOS App priority set to MAX for all services

QOS Device priority OFF or ON (always) makes no difference 

 

4. Try to connect one device to the main router by wired cable/wirelessly and test the speed; and you can connect your computer to the modem directly, bypass the router to do a comparative analysis. 

 

Speedtest Apple TV 4K connected to ARRIS port 1 (removing AX6000 switching ARRIS to router mode): Download 960  /Upload 900

Speedtest Apple TV 4K connected to AX6000 port 2: Download 830  / Upload 630

 

5. Please ensure that the firmware is up to date, and you can change the wireless settings, like wireless channel, channel width. And you can setup QoS as standard and do not enable device priority. 

 

Latest firware used (all tests performed wired)
