@hksavaliya  I am just returning mine. Going for the Asus AX router, Seems Support is playing the same song and same dance with everyone in here. I think they have a bad Product and don't want to admit it. Same issue for 6 moths from different users yet everyone's ISP is an issue.  Thank God I got mine on Amazon Prime as I have a Few more days to return this clonky router that has been nothing but trouble since day one. It's a shame because I wanted it to work with my TP Link AC2600 wifi Extender :o/

Amazon Return Requested.

@ELEVONY  @hksavaliya  @originalsyn @speedmaster @Sultanmsa @seelymike At least i can take some comfort in not being the only one with the issue lol... CLEARLY the Archer AX6000 have some issues with at least some servers and/or services (including the tplinkcloud.com!!!).

Thank you very much for taking the time to write in here about your issue!!!!!!

Best regards!!!

Hint to Tplink: You have a very clear case with the Ookla Montevideo-Antel server, if you want to test these (and other servers) for possible causes. With that server, the upload is almost always half the total speed.

Hi PJ Not sure if the problem is the same but TPLink wasn't the culprit in this one. After many tries and configurations, including a new router, I get that the culprit was outside my network and called the cable provider. It took me 3 or 4 support techs to realize that my service was wrongly provisioned and needed to be erased and configured again. Once it was done I got back my 30Mbps upload speed. So check thoroughly if your service is provisioned correctly to be sure you are not looking for a lice in a bald's head... I was. Hope you fix it, in my case it wasn't a TPLink issue. Speed

@speedmaster Hi Speed, i'm very pleased to hear that you managed to solve your issue.

In my case however (and in other cases reported here), my old router works perfectly (a Tp-link also), so that rules out a provisioning issue (in fact, it was the first thing i checked, i opened a ticket with my ISP, a support engineer from my ISP contacted me, tested directly with the fiber modem, and only then i realized that the problem is the AX6000).

When i switched back to my old Archer C9, all services began to work smoothly and with the proper speeds :-)

Best regards!!!

@ELEVONY  @ELEVONY  @hksavaliya  @originalsyn @speedmaster @Sultanmsa @seelymike  Hi everybody!!!

Today i did some testing, tried the Archer C9 and the three firmware versions in the AX6000, and this is the result of these tests:

Archer C9 speeds 250 down - 25 up
---------------------------------
Upload - Best of all, 25 always
Download - Best, always 250 and up
Tplinkcloud - Almost perfect.

Archer AX6000(US JP EU)_V1_190215.bin
-------------------------------------
Upload - Best of all, very consistent, reporting from 20 to 24 almost full speed
Download - Worst of all, near full speed, but very unstable from 220 to 250
Tplinkcloud - Unusable, with too much movement, some parts of the video freezes, time jumps forward only, up to 5 seconds.

Archer AX6000(EU)_V1_190701.bin
-------------------------------
Upload - Not horrible, but very unstable, reporting from 8 to 22.
Download - Very good, full speed, 240 to 250
Tplinkcloud - Unusable, with too much movement, some parts of the video freezes, time jumps forward AND backwards, you can see the same car passing up to three times.  Very strange behavior, is like the video is resetting and jumping backwards.

ax6000v1_eu_20190822.bin
------------------------
Upload - Absolutely horrible, very unstable, reporting from 5 to 20. Nowhere near max speed.
Download - Best of the three, full speed, almost always 250.
Tplinkcloud - Same as the firmware before, but even worst.

I've also collected some statistics with the NetworkTrafficView free software  from Nirsoft, and with the upload test, what stands out most is the TCP Window size in some of this test connections, with the Archer C9 goes up to 6,387,712, but the AX6000 only reaches 2,139,648. It might be the windows size... (i've attached the spreadsheet with the data). I will pass this info to support also.

Best regards!!!!

@pjaguilar

Hi!

Thanks for your testing, I hope tp-link will resolve this huge problem soon!

I have the same problem with the upload speed with my AX6000,it's terrible, it's very slow (40-55mbit) and unstable...

I have an old WDR4300 router too, which is working perfect, I have 920mbit down/500mbit up speed with that router.

It's clear that the AX6000 have a huge problem!

@TOMI313 Hi!!!

Yes,. its very clear now that the AX6000 is seriously flawed, well, it's clear to all of us but not for support, they told me this in the last email:

"A 25Mbps up and a "20-24Mbps" up makes no difference...".  Err... what?

They seem not to believe that with other routers everything is working fine. They're still wondering if there is anything wrong with the AX6000, but they don't propose any professional level testing (in fact, the TCP statistics were my idea).

Well, i'm speechless, and officially giving up in this very expensive paperweight. (sadly, i can't return it nor exchange it)

Thank you very much to all of you!!!!

EDIT: And of course, will never ever again buy a Tp-Link device LOL...

@ELEVONY  @hksavaliya  @originalsyn @speedmaster @Sultanmsa @seelymike  @TOMI313

Hi again... well, i did a final test against Speedtest.net, server Montevideo-Antel, but this time one stream only (is a new function of Speedtest).

As you can see in the spreadsheet, the Archer C9 transmits 4.23 more packets in the upload test. This is almost exactly the magnitude of the speed difference. (taking into account that the C9, even with the one stream option, reports the maximum upload speed, always)

C9 Reported speed: always around 24 -25
Source Address Destination Address Packets Count Total Packets Size Total Data Size TCP Push
10.26.0.185 speedtest.com.uy 33.092 48.535.577 47.211.885 2.885
    4,23 4,21 4,21 4,19
AX6000 Reported speed: always around 5,5 - 6
Source Address Destination Address Packets Count Total Packets Size Total Data Size TCP Push
10.26.0.185 speedtest.com.uy 7.826 11.520.871 11.207.819 688

One interesting fact is the push packets, 4.19 more push packets in the C9.

In this "one stream" test, the AX6000 reports 5.5-6 Mbps, the Archer C9 reports 24-25 Mbps. (same time of day, same test, same computer, no other software active, only difference is the device used).

I really dont know what process/driver in the AX6000 is capping the upload, but is evidently an AX6000 issue.

Best regards, and a very happy new year to all!!

@pjaguilar

Hi,

Please send this to the technical support maybe they can figure out something...It's clear that the AX6000 has something and I think it's a bug or something is not set correctly in the firmware.

@Kevin_Z can u help us somehow please?

Happy New Year to all!
