@Alexandre. Thank you - I tried it with an older 2.4 Ghz router as you suggested and it worked, however it was about 10x slower than when the device connects to the furthermost Deco upstairs so it isn't workable for me.

Have similar problem.. would be nice to have a fix for!

I bought 2x 3 pack m5

4 I use at home, 2 I use else where

Unable to control which deco connects to other decos I have 1 jumping past the close one and connecting to the further away deco, giving me really bad latency and what looks to be max wi-fi connection but the deco to deco connection is one bar... Please let us have control as to what deco connects to other decos.

+1 I have exactly the same situation, there is a very bad connection between the satelite and the main satelite, and there is no way to connect it to another satelite with a better connection to the main. I use the X60 triple set

Wow! They cost a fair chunk! Very simple feature that TP should add.

I have solved it by going to advanced Settings:
* Fast Roaming: Enabled
* Beamforming: Disabled

And now it works as expected (at least for the moment).

I have a surveillance wifi camera which was connected to the main deco POOR signal, and now it connected to the closest Deco.

Hi! Any idea if this is integrated in updates in the near feature..? "Sorry to tell you that there is no option to force connect to a particular Deco yet. While we have noted that and will improve this feature in future firmware updates, please be more patient with that."

Although this is not a bad idea is a temporary fix and not an ideal one since clients that work with beamforming will lose the feature's benefit. As one other user in the forum suggested the solution is to enable a reject list (by MAC addr) on each deco so we can make a single deco accept the connections from an specific client and for the other decos to reject it. This is a feature that used to exist in older TP devices Accesspoints/routers
