@Tawkeye

Great suggestion, but Deco E4 default is mesh enabled. I need to go through 20 devices and manually disable MESH option to make their connection stable.

Now I have a new problem when I roam around my house I will be stuck with the old connection I need to disconnect WIFI and reconnect again to connect to the nearer Deco

TP-Link what is your solution..... your mesh reputation look quite bad now, you advertise that we can walk around the house without the need to reconnect to different SSID but to have a minimum stable connection I need to disable MESH, the current behavior is like I need to disconnect and reconnect again just like I buy NON MESH AP

I too have the same problem. When I connect to my Jio router in the living room, I get better ping than with the Deco M5 router in my bedroom. Even though the internet speed is basically the same.

Im getting really sick of the latency problem.

Not every day but at least too many times I encounter intermittent lag spikes which make gaming really hard. Spikes between 600ms and 1000ms occur every 20 seconds.

Nothing seems tot help.....

Currently I own a M9 Plus, 3 pack. V2 to be precise.  The firmware is behind compared to the V1 as TP link isn't releasing updates for hardware version V2. Pathetic.

Never again a tp link mesh system for me.

Anyone wants to buy my M9 Plus? It has no problems i swear --_--

Well I have my solution. Now that they've closed our office I'm working 100% from home. So I've ditched TP-Link and I've invested in Ubiqu*ti Amplif* HD.

I haven't rebooted it since it was installed at the end of August and it's been rock solid.

Hope you all get a fix soon.

So long and thanks for all the fish.

I had the same problem, and I actually think I solved it: My Deco was over heated. They get super warm, and if they have limited surrounding air - they seem to work less good. So, I took mine out of the small space it was in and put it upside down. And now all latency is gone. Hope it works for you too.

So I have an M9plus and 2x M5s covering my house. Internet surfing and streaming seem to be fine, but online gaming is a nightmare, with ping spikes up to 999ms making it basically unplayable. I've tried everything, using the QoS for gaming, putting the devices as high priority, but it makes no difference.

The ping to the router (192.168.68.1) is anywhere from 10-106ms and it seems taking the device on or off the mesh makes zero difference. Right now I'm really regretting spending so much on something that doesn't work properly. I have 380Mbps fibre optic broadband.

Running latest firmware, all 3 decos are fully updated.

Any fix for this coming soon?

M9 Plus - firmware 1.4.3 Build 20200921 Rel. 42500

Update: tried firmware 1.5.0 Build 20201211 Rel. 42330 and if anything the problem has gotten worse!

Upgrade manually to the latest firmware.

Dont rely on the app for over the air updates.

My problems are gone :)

@FredxS

I had some of the same issues as described in the thread, everything worked perfectly fine with my netgear router but when installing M4 the trouble started. I reset the modem from my internet provider and the trouble was gone. Im sure everyone here have already done the same but in case there are more suckers like me.... hopeful it will last

With later firmware versions my issues cleared. You might have to manually download them and upload them via the browser GUI, not the app.
