Static pop noise with JBL Link 20 Speaker logged in With a Deco M9.
When I use the speaker on the Deco M9plus ,I get an irritating static pop noise trough my music. When I log in on my old router Netgear R7000 ,the sound is perfect.
Could this be a fault setting of my router of some kind? The problem is for sure not in the speaker ,because after sending it two times to a repair shop from JBL I got a new one from them. And the new one gave the same problem. Does anyone recognize this problem , or have some idea's of trying some settings.

Hey all, just adding that I have the same issue with 3x Deco M9 plus, JBL Playlist, JBL Link 20. Reseting the speaker sometimes helps for a while, but in groups the crackling is really unbearable.

Got the same problem and this thread was an Eureka moment for me.
I have two Harman Kardon citation one speakers and a chromecast on my TV. Recently bough the Deco M4 amd started noticing crackling pop noices. Tried eveything from changing the set-ups, changing 2.4 to 5ghz, other wifi networks, and found out IT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MAKE A GROUP IN CHROMECAST IN COMBINATION WITH A DECO NETWORK!!
The devteam shoudl by some chromecast spreakers, make a group and test whats going on -- the DECO mesh is the best ever but this bug is a huge shitshow

I have two Harman kardon citation one speakers (that support chromecast) and a TV with a chromecast. I also have a speaker group combining them all. I noted crackling popping issues every now and I didn't understand. I tried all speakers seperately, Bluetooth and cast and all worked fine.
After some testing in various setups and reading other forums I'm pretty sure it's the combination of a chromecast speaker group and the fact that I have a TP link Deco network (M4) in Mesh mode (fast roaming enabled) that's leads to the crackling popping sounds.
Not sure if it's is the mesh concept (are there any other users with a non tp link mesh network that have this issue? ) or the tp link that's the issue here. But the crackling appears in group chromecast with fast roaming enabled. Currently I have not encountered issues in other setups. Mesh is great but this crackling is unacceptable - the dev team should see if this can be fixed with and firmware update otherwise I would need to return the deco's
