Archer AX6000 5Ghz stops working after app. 1 day
Hi,
I just bought a Archer AX6000 router. I'm having trouble with the 5 Ghz band. After a clean start up of the router the 5Ghz works fine. I have laptop, 2 phones and a tablet that can all connect to it. But after a day or so the connection is lost and I can't reconnect. The 5Ghz network is intermittend down. So, when scanning for networks sometimes the 5Ghz network is visible, but then dissapears again. This happens on all 4 devices, which make believe that the origin of the problem is with the router.
In a wifi analyzer app I see the same thing. The 5Ghz network is there, and then it isn't. Then it's back again and then it's gone again.
I updated the firmware to the latest available version, which is version 1.0.6.
Any ideas on how to solve this? Or should I return it?

I have an identical or very similar problem, I have my telephone which tells me connection refused by the router! he is not blacklisted or in parental control.
I reboot the router and I have no problem.
I modified for test the name of the 2 wifi (2.4G and 5G with different SSID).
I hope new firmware will be released.

You have to modify your 5ghz channel and channelwidth
Put it on channel 40 or 44 and channelwidth to 80Mhz

I have exactly those settings and the problem is still there. What I currently do to minimise the problem is to have a scheduled reboot every night. That made it work better, but it's not an acceptable solution.

@Laagkeet Thank you, I hope this will correct, I just modified 5G. Indeed the router did not broadcast any more and everything is ok after a restart. Strongly a fix.

@Jeffo87 The ax6000 is a beta router and will always be in beta phase. I would suggest returning it! I have a pile of 5 evaluation routers in front of me and it was slower and more buggy then the entry level tplink ax1500! This device has been out since 2018 and they have not addressed any for the throughput and performance issues :(
Fcc dates of acceptance (this should be the state of stability for public purchase)

Seeing this model makes me think this model will be brushed off by tplink as its not the new thing anymore

The archer ax90 is what tplink should swap EVERYONE with that has purchased an ax6000 because it is a pile. :(
