Archer AX6000 5Ghz stops working after app. 1 day
Hi,
I just bought a Archer AX6000 router. I'm having trouble with the 5 Ghz band. After a clean start up of the router the 5Ghz works fine. I have laptop, 2 phones and a tablet that can all connect to it. But after a day or so the connection is lost and I can't reconnect. The 5Ghz network is intermittend down. So, when scanning for networks sometimes the 5Ghz network is visible, but then dissapears again. This happens on all 4 devices, which make believe that the origin of the problem is with the router.
In a wifi analyzer app I see the same thing. The 5Ghz network is there, and then it isn't. Then it's back again and then it's gone again.
I updated the firmware to the latest available version, which is version 1.0.6.
Any ideas on how to solve this? Or should I return it?

Looking for the AX6000 on Chinese TP-Link website I could not find it there.... but I found this one:
https://www.tp-link.com.cn/product_1622.html
TL-XDR6060
Why TP-Link can't get this firmware and do the same to AX6000?
I am thinking about to get a Xiaomi AIoT AX3600.
I am done with TP-Link and this router...

For a while the 5 GHz network went well.
With beta firmware 1.0.8
At the moment it's totally on strike again.
It's really annoying that people
not getting the problem under control.

its only been 5 and a half months since this thread started, it can't be much longer for a fix. I'm sure that a company that's even a tenth of their size could manage to find a sober employee or two that would be able to keep all of a router's bands working.

@VoodooNet No beta firmware or public firmware is stable. Frequently 5GHz drops, can´t use smartconnect, no 5GHz band steering and even wired connection has problems. Tried with las official published and betas 1.0.7-P2, 1.0.8-P8, 1.0.8-P9.
@Kevin_Z any help here? Is there any new beta to try? The router is really expensive to not working as it meant to be.

The only thing what we can do with this AX6000 is turn it in Access Point mode and let other router use DHCP. They ........us like hell with this model 🙉

I wish I had seen this before buying the AX6000. Thing is, I am seriously considering to return the router to the store and get back to my slow-is but trustworthy Linksys E3200.
I am running the stock 1.0.7 Build 20200212 rel.7095 firmware, and my 5GHz network just loses internet connectivity every now and then. It is sometimes stable for days, sometimes it dies within an hour after rebooting the router. Wifi signal is still there, the devices do see it. 2.4 GHz network is there and it is working fine. However, the 5 GHz wifi network asks for login on my phone (even though I have already provided the WPA2 password - and of course the login screen never loads, just gives me the "no internet access" message). My laptops just display "connected, no internet access", and my google chromecasts just want to be setup again to a wifi that actually can connect them to the internet.
Truth be told, in the last few days, I have spent more time setting this thing up and trying to get it working as it should out of the box than I have had to spend with my previous router during its seven years lifetime. On a one to ten scale of customer satisfaction I am at a freefall nearing minus seventeen.

@attilab Yes, it's really weird how random this seems to be. Mine has these fits of 5Ghz deficiency for a day or two, but then it suddenly fixes itself and works without an issue for weeks!
