Archer AX6000 5Ghz stops working after app. 1 day
Hi,
I just bought a Archer AX6000 router. I'm having trouble with the 5 Ghz band. After a clean start up of the router the 5Ghz works fine. I have laptop, 2 phones and a tablet that can all connect to it. But after a day or so the connection is lost and I can't reconnect. The 5Ghz network is intermittend down. So, when scanning for networks sometimes the 5Ghz network is visible, but then dissapears again. This happens on all 4 devices, which make believe that the origin of the problem is with the router.
In a wifi analyzer app I see the same thing. The 5Ghz network is there, and then it isn't. Then it's back again and then it's gone again.
I updated the firmware to the latest available version, which is version 1.0.6.
Any ideas on how to solve this? Or should I return it?

I seem to have a very similar issue but on my AX11000.
All of a sudden every device on the second 5ghz band (AX-160mhz) disconnects. When I access the router from a different device I can see that indeed 5ghz-2 is empty. None of my AX devices can connect so I have to do a reboot to get everything back in order. Happens every few days.

Definitely an issue concerning the DFS channels, as the second 5 Ghz band of the AX11000 only has DFS channels (from 100 to 128 in my case, Eastern Europe).
I have two AX11000 units, one set up as router and the other as AP, and both have been working flawlessly for the past 40 or so days.
Actually, I have the two 5 Ghz bands set to 160 MHz, with fixed channels, and all of my devices can connect and stay connected without any problem - including two laptops with the antiquated Intel AC 7265 wifi card.
With all due respect, I would suspect operator error in your case, as I find it hard to believe that your single unit is broken, while my two units are not.

been doing some reading on these dfs channels. Apparently it is expected for the connection to be dropped when switching between or coming off these frequencies. A previous router of mine had the option to avoid these dfs channels when auto channels were selected.

Hi,
I got a new Archer AX6000 device yesterday. I had problems with Wifi 5Ghz, basically yesterday got disconnected and no of the devices could connect too it. I would like to install the new driver. My router say is updated with lastest firmware with 10.7 , but I am reading there is a newer one 10.8.
I bought in estonia and TP-link has no location website for Estonia. In website warn the users to not install.

Bring it back. TP-Link doesn't give a sh*t about errors and mistakes on their end...

I installed this Beta version ax6000v1_us-up-ver1-0-8-P9[20200318-rel14152]_beta_2020-03-18_16.03.53.zip and so far so good.
Let's see for how long...
