If there is a WPS button on your root device, follow the UG to press RE button on WA830.
Otherwise, you'd better use utility.

I have successfully set up the device
I have made the set up on my lap top which was far from the source
The signal was very strong for a while but thereafter it disappeared
Where can I put the device; I put it between the source & signal week area, is that wright?
Do I need to make any connection to the device other than the electricity, because the device now is not connected to a PC or a lap top (only power)

Many thanks

No other connections required. Only the power electricity. It can sit alone and work to offer the strong signal;)
