Hello,

Win 8 task manager shows that this adapter only works at 802.11g mode with max speed of 54Mbps only. Can you help to make it work at max speed of 300Mbps?

I am using win8-64 bit and installed the Win-7 64bit driver. The wireless router is Asus RT-N15U, which is configure to work in N mode and other devices connecting to it can work at this speed. The signal bar is almost full.

Go to Control Panel --- Network and sharing center-- change adapter settings(on the left side)
Right click on Wireless network connection --- Status --- Properties
Then highlight Client for Microsoft Networks--- Configure
then, you will see above picture.
At last, choose 802.11n Channel Width for band 2.4 and choose Value as Auto, then click OK.

I also have a problem when adapter only works when I set the router to 802.11g and 54 Mbps, and the 2,4 GHz. The above solution is not working since I don't have these choices. My router is a Netgear WNDR3700. HW ver is 1
