Deco M9 Plus v2 firmware not possible to update and are missing features compared to v1
I have v2 and the DECO app reports that I have 1.2.10 Build 20190809 54285
On the webpage https://www.tp-link.com/de/support/download/deco-m9-plus/#Firmware however there is a newer 1.2.11 20190926 55727
Why does the DECO report that I have the latest firmware and why cant I upgrade to 1.2.11?
On the other hand what Im really asking for is to get the same features as HW v1 got.
You have release 1.3.0 with lots of new features and it was built in August and Released in October. Why dont we get that for revision v2?
All these things was release on Ocotber for revision v2
Modifications and Bug Fixes:
1. Added support for IPTV bridge mode and custom mode.
2. Added IPv6 firewall rules feature.
3. Added Mesh Technology option.
4. Displayed which client is connected to which deco and which Wi-Fi band.
5. Displayed how Decos are connected to each other.
6. Supported up to 64 entries each for Address Reservation and Port Forwarding.
7. Improved the system stability and fixed some bugs.
Notes:
1. Please update your Deco App to the latest version in order to use new features.
2. If there are other Deco models in your Deco network, you may miss some new features till other models release updates in the near future.

When I try https://tplinkdeco.net/ it can't connect to anything, but when I try http://192.168.68.1:30000/ it redirects to http://192.168.68.1:30000/webpages/login.html and it basically gives me a 404:
Not Found
The requested URL /webpages/login.html was not found on this server.
So it seems the http://192.168.68.1:30000/ address gets me closer, but not all the way there.
Anyone have any ideas?
PS: Live agent chat just wanted me to reboot. I just took the system out of the box.

If just out of the box... you shouldnt be running the beta firmware we are discussing here.... to access WEB UI you need firmware (beta) 1.4.0.... you should update manually, please check page 18 of this topic here into this tread.

So far we've learned that the update brings:
- Web UI (Works only if Deco is in Router Mode) - Access at http://<MAIN-DECO-IP>:30000 or https://tplinkdeco.net/
- Update the system time
- IP Port forwarding limit from 16 -> 64
- IP Address reserveration limit from 16 -> 64 (or 48 as some report)
- Deco connection details
- Which clients are connected to what deco
- Which deco's are connected to eachother

@Kevin_Z From December 2019 on, you've been telling in multiple threads on this forum that your engineering colleagues are working very hard on the fw update for the M9 plus V2. A lot of your clients are desperately waiting for the new fw with more functionality. Could you please update us when the new fw will be released?

Hello I am new to this. I have deco m9 v2 and want to upgrade formware. I am on 1.2.10. I have downloaded the Jan2020 uk version - however the upgrade instructions tell me to access the http://tplinkdeco.net and this just gives an error message. I seem to be going round in circles as I need the web ui to update the firmware and need the updated firmware to access the web ui. It looks like some have managed this? Am I mssing something? I have also tried the LAN IP address in the advanced settings but get the same message.

I gave up on these devices and returned them. I think TP-Link has decent hardware but unfortunately their s/w lets them down (needing to download a python gui app to update firmware - wtf! This is not suitable for public release).
I've opted for Synology, so far so good performance and management wise.
Best performance I've had was with Google Wifi however it has a glaring issue that AP mode doesn't allow mesh so had to sell it.
