Deco M9 Plus v2 firmware not possible to update and are missing features compared to v1
I have v2 and the DECO app reports that I have 1.2.10 Build 20190809 54285
On the webpage https://www.tp-link.com/de/support/download/deco-m9-plus/#Firmware however there is a newer 1.2.11 20190926 55727
Why does the DECO report that I have the latest firmware and why cant I upgrade to 1.2.11?
On the other hand what Im really asking for is to get the same features as HW v1 got.
You have release 1.3.0 with lots of new features and it was built in August and Released in October. Why dont we get that for revision v2?
All these things was release on Ocotber for revision v2
Modifications and Bug Fixes:
1. Added support for IPTV bridge mode and custom mode.
2. Added IPv6 firewall rules feature.
3. Added Mesh Technology option.
4. Displayed which client is connected to which deco and which Wi-Fi band.
5. Displayed how Decos are connected to each other.
6. Supported up to 64 entries each for Address Reservation and Port Forwarding.
7. Improved the system stability and fixed some bugs.
Notes:
1. Please update your Deco App to the latest version in order to use new features.
2. If there are other Deco models in your Deco network, you may miss some new features till other models release updates in the near future.

After the update was succesful, I started using the web GUI. I noticed two issues:
1) I cannot activate the IGMP or WAN Unicast features (web GUI: Advanced -> System -> System parameters). I get an 'Operation failed' message for both features.
2) All Deco's are called 'custom_1' - 'custom_4' instead of the room names which I assigned them upon installing via the Android app. How can I see which Deco is which?

@AR-jan that's weird! When I open the "All Deco Map" in the web UI, I get hallway_1, study_2 and living_room_3. This is my exact setup. What surprised me, is that I gave Dutch names during setup, and that's what Deco app shows me. The web UI translated them to English on its own.
How can you check if all Decos use the backhaul correctly?

I can not update since it does not show up in app. It was just a reflection that after more than 6month after i created this thread it is almost released. But not in my region so maybe I have to wait another 6 month on this company :)

@e3henri I expected this process to be doable in the app too. Don't know why it isn't, or isn't yet.
But the process from a PC as explained here is actually very simple, anyone can do that.

Just downloaded the utility and the _53529 beta from the before mentioned links and updated: easy to do, and smooth process.
Deco's used in access point mode (Frizbox modem). Ran it wireless, from the couch, presumably not connected to the deco disk connected to the router, since that is in another room.
Note: WiFi came back up fine. Didn't do a feature check or test.

I think I'm not going to update, the difference in days between the 1.4.0 beta and this new release version is 5 days between the 2.
i think they will be the same except they disabled wan ping on this new update.
And the build date was 3 months ago.
@SrDarkWarrior I'm also not going to update. I'm running the beta from indeed 200319 but it has a higher release number: 55255. Not sure why the beta has a higher release number then official release. As I'm happy with the beta I will wait for a future update via the deco's itself.

Congrats TPLink on upgrading your deco M9+ from "Chinese garbage entry level" to "entry level" with version 1.4.0
Now work on 1.5 to get it to a level worth 120 euro a piece
