Hi Everyone, first post here.

I've got an OC200, controlling a few EAP225-Wall units all in one LAN.

I have a remote site where I've got a 4G router (Mikrotik) up on a pole, and I'll be adding an EAP110-Outdoor to that pole for WiFi coverage.

I wondered if there's a way to adopt the EAP110-Outdoor at the remote site to the OC200 at the main site, and set it up under another site within the OC200.

Or as I thought, do all the APs have to be on the same LAN as the controller? Or at least VPN'd to the same subnet etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Sure. You can either use the EAP Discovery Utility (see the TP-Link support site) or DHCP option 138 to link the EAP110-Outdoor to a controller running elsewhere. If the controller is behind a firewall you will have to use port forwarding. If the site doesn't have a public IP, use a VPN.

See this FAQ for more information.
