Region : NewZealand

Model : TL-WR1043ND

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version : 3.13.12 Build 120405 Rel.33996n

ISP :

I've plugged in a USB flash drive and enabled shared storage on my TL-WR1043ND router. With "Access shared storage with password" unticked, I can access the share using both my Windows 7 Laptop and Motorola Defy+ (with ES File explorer) and successfully play any Music off of the network share using the Android App, ES File explorer.

If I enable "Access shared storage with password" and attempt to log in using any of the user accounts I've set up on the device, I will be able to access the shares using the credentials on my Windows 7 Machine, but not with my Motorola Defy+, instead I will simply receive "Login failure". I'm Picking it has something to do with the network share type?

Firmware Version:
3.13.12 Build 120405 Rel.33996n

Any pointers appreciated. Many Thanks in advance.

If your windows 7 can share the storage, I think the problem is not in the computer, but in the phone, and maybe between your android phone and the router and in the router...How did you login to the storage by your phone ?

Hi, same issue here, I can't access the share using my Android phone, I use File expert to access the share.
The same here, if I enable "Access shared storage with password" and attemp to log in using any of the user accounts I've set up on the device, I just can access from a Windows 7 machine, but not with my android GAlaxy s3. I will instead receive "Login failure".

Has anyone resolve the issue yet?
