Firmware Version: 1.0.3 Build 20190924 re. 41282 (4155)

I have a new AX50 router as I live in New Zealand. The internet randomly drops in and out. There's no issues with my internet provider - as I've called and confirmed. I fired up my old router - Vodafone Hub and the internet is consistent and stable. I've done a factory reset on it and still the drops keep happening. All the devices in my household lose conenection - Apple TV, iPhone, MacBook, Samsung mobile. The problem occurs on both 2.4 & 5Ghz bands. I've downlaoded the latest firmware from the support site. However when I try to upload the firmware file via ethernet cable into the AX50 I get a message, "Unable to upload".

@muttgregory similar issue with AX10, internet "drops out" and have to power cycle it to get it to check for an internet connection again.

i too am from NZ. Just wondering how you got on with getting your router going? We have not long got a ax50 and it drops out between 1am and 6am every night. I know this because my weather station stops logging during this time. In the log it says the led controller is the type and it's turn the wan off and on during the whole time.

 

Is this similar to your issue.

@Karl_b Thanks Karl, to be honest I've given  up on this wifi router and recommend to everyone not to buy it. I've had nothing but problems. Our experience is it over heats and shuts down. Interestingly yours drops out at certain times. I keep hoping for a firmware update to fix the issues, but have now quit waiting.

I was having some similar problems. I managed to resolve them by setting up the router to reboot every week AND by disabling power saving mode on MY ISP modem. Give a try and let me know if it works. Cheers
