Deco P9 Maturity
I bought a Deco P9 last week. I'm not impressed. I think the firmware is very immature. I feel like I have paid to beta test it.
Fundementally I bought it to solve the problem that my smart plugs don't work. It doesn't solve that problem becuase you can't have seperate SSID for 2.5GHz.
I'm probably going to send it back unless I see a firmware update soon with a few more features. Is there any news on the roadmap?
I am extremely disappointed because I think this is a unique product. I don't think anyone else makes a powerline mesh. Do they?

Just received a firmware update. V1.1.3 Build 202001228 rel 55057.
I run in AP mode so I can't say anything about improvements. When there are problems, I will report back here.

App says:
Modification and bug fixes:
1. Improved backhaul stability and performance
2. Improved Samsung cellphones roaming experience
I also use my in AP mode, so I can't say much about it. I sorted out my connection problems to the DECO farthest from main one, by using a coaxial bridge. That's an awesome tech.

@samwardill Since the firmware update I get a lot of drops of about 20 seconds in Teams-calls (deco farthest in the chain).
On my middle Netlfix stutters now and then after the upgrade.
Can I upload the old firmware?
The interface doesn't let me.

anyone testing this beta? 1.1.3_20210616
I have 3 P9, running on 1.1.3 build 20201228 Rel. 55057, and I was having issues on performance including drops when I had all the decos turned on, but I noticed if I switch off one of them everything works fine. After almost 1 month exchanging emails with support team and doing loads of tests, etc, etc they have asked me to install this beta.
Update: Just installed the beta... no improvements... back to turn off the second deco so that everything works..... rediculous

@Brain_Killer I am running the same software. Issues from day 1.
IT WILL NOT GET FIXED EVER!
Running 3 Deco units in router mode has these issues in all software versions.
I run 3 Deco in AP mode. This works fine. But only when plugged into the wall directly.
Support is running a smoke screen as you found out. They will not fix these issues, so they keep wasting your time with these emails. You only get questions from support. Never solutions.
Get a decent router and run the Deco in AP mode.
If a TP-Link product works you are lucky. If not your money has been stolen.

@ReneP thanks for the reply, really appreciate it. At the moment for me it's not the money anymore, im working from home, I can't continue with this "test subject approach", it's impacting my work. I'm tired of joining calls and say to everyone "sorry, I need to go turn off my deco satellite, I will be back in a couple of minutes". It's a joke, and im surprised the product is still being sold....
