Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.0.6 Build 20190822 rel.26396

Hi,

Yet another one having problems with loosing 5Ghz network. I've tested a lot of the "fixes" mentioned in various threads here at the forum. Checked firmware, set fixed values for channels, reset devices (router & phones/tablets/pc's), aso. Some of the settings I haven't tested, I don't want to slower down the 5GHz since I bought the router to have a fast router. (You don't buy a racing car just to drive in 30km/h).

2.4 works fine & wired works fine trying to connect 5Ghz (when the problem arise) says that either the network doesn't exist or that the password is incorrect (which it isn't). The 5Ghz is visible for all clients, but no device can connect to it.

The wired connection hasn't caused any problems for the first 2 months, the 2,4 has just had one problem...and that is ok.

The last tests I've made is to analyse the HomeCare parts. It seems to be the "Infected Device Quarantine" that may cause the problems. Having the 2 other parts enabled (Malicious Content Filter & Intrudion Prevention System) it appears to be working fine (either one or both of them enabled) for sevedral days. But as soon as I enable the "Infected Device Quarantine" functionality I loose the 5Ghz - if not directly, within a day.

Thanks in advance for some guidance and help.

@Julius_Sweden I have exactly the same issue on my two weeks old Ax6000. Suddenly the 5Ghz network refuses to allow anything to connect. 2.4Ghz and wired works fine.

I have tried to disable all antivirus etc, but nothing happens. In fact, even when i change the SSID - it is not reflected on my devices - still the old SSID is shown...

@borshk

Today the 5Ghz evwn gave up when I was using it. Suddenly I couldn't surf any more. I was still connected but no way to use it.

it appears to becoming worse and worse.
Let's see if the rumours on the Internet are true about TpLink...bad customer service, rarely any firmware updates - just focusing on comming up with new products that they release before they are stable and then the focus goes to the nest product.

i do hioe these are just rumours and trolls spreading bad and untrue storries, the next few days will give us an answer. So many people with the same problem should make them focusing on this...

@Erik_Hansen_DK

There is a long thread about this problem in the  Home-forum. You should be able to find it by searching for the topic:

Archer AX6000 5Ghz stops working after app. 1 day

In that topic TpLink representative answered several times up until the end if last year. After that they just negkected all posts. There's a beta relrase of a firmware but it doesn't help according ti several other users. A lot get the feeling that ToLink dorsn't bother to help (or at least doesn't have a policy of informing all frustrated users).

i recomend you to check that thread. If you're lucky some if the proosals may help you out (it didn't help me though).

@Julius_Sweden Thx, I found it just after posting this. I upgraded to the 1.0.7 FW Beta - right now 5Ghz works for me, but if it is stable to early to say... :)

@Erik_Hansen_DK

Hopefully it stays stable for you. When the router works I find it very good so if they release a FW rhat solves this problem I won't have any problems recept mending it. But as it is right now...I'm not sure.

Good luck and please keep me posted on the progress of your testing.

Maybe share this firmware in the other threat to let more users see if it solves their problems?
