Model: TL-WA901ND
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 160929

It has been more than 2 years that Krack became know.

Is it ture that an access point which is still sold, still is not patched against Krack?

The latest firmware was made 2016.

Unfortunatelly TL-WA901ND is not mentioned at

https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1970/

why?

Or is TL-WA901ND not vulnerable?

@Dormi98 Access points are not vulnerable, vulnerability affects clients that start the connection (i.e. your phone, laptop, wireless camera, smart home devices, etc.)

OK, the access point itself may not be vulnerable - that might be true.

But the connection between a device connecting to an unpatched access point is vulnerable.

According to Mathy Vanhoef (the guy who discovered the problem) it is mandatory that both - access point AND the connecting device are patched, in order to make sure that the KRACK attack cannot be executed successfully.
