Firmware Version : 3.13.32 Build 130329 Rel.36413n

ISP : Unitymedia

Hello TP-Link Forum,

i am from germany and my internet server provider is: "Unitymedia" which uses the regular cable for internet, television and phone.
Suddenly there is a NTBBA that comes with Unitymedia, its an: "Cisco EPC 3212".

My problem is a short lag/connection loss that lasts as least 15 seconds and appears about every 30 minutes.
I actually typed in by hand the "Bandwith limitation" and disabled the Hardware NAT - last solution caused just more connection aborts :/

I am looking for a fast solution, i actually wanted to send that router back and get an Asus one but today the german TP-Link support called me and asked for being patient.

Best wishes Christoph M.

Hi,

Don't be patient !

With my WDR4900, I'm patient since february and nothing moves in the right way, I mean the new firmwares are worse...

- Well it is a shame to hear words like that! TP-Link claims to be the world wide leader of networking technology and throw out unfinished stuff that still need fixes to run. - Even their TOP-Product wont work properly.
I have got 4 days left to send that crappy piece of network tecnology called "Archer C7" back to amazon. If there will be no fix within that time - ill send it back and get an Asus one.

Kind regards

At this level of product, I think Asus is a better choice.

TP-Link builds good hardwares but poor firmwares.

The shame for me is to don't fix quickly the bugs and/or to introduce new ones.

Their support and R&D structures are not capable to answer to the customer complaints...

Same problem here, also same configuration, so it's not a Hardware bug, but a software one

You've to setup a Speedlimitation, as it seems that the router will crash the UnityMedia Modem, when the speed is set to unlimited!!!

Quoted from Amazon.de ( http://www.amazon.de/TP-Link-C7-Dual-Band-Wireless-%C3%9Cbertragungsgeschwindigkeit/dp/B00BUSDVBQ):

http://tp-link-support.de/firmware/Archer_C7/Archer_C7v1_130625.beta.zip try this beta firmware :)
For Archer C7 only! Fixed my issue - and i dont even have to type in the bandwithcontrol or disable the hardware NAT.
