Hi,

 

I recently purchase this Archer C20 Router, as I read the it can connect to VPN connection with PPTP and L2TP connection. Right now im using PureVPN as my provider.

 

As im setting up my router with the PPTP connection i stumble upon problem. The thing is i manage to connect through the VPN server but it seems it wont be able to generate a new IP and DNS address that left with IP and DNS address as 0.0.0.0. Though im still able to connect to the internet but it fails to mask my IP address and my location. 

 

Can someone help me with this problem.

@stefan_chicken as it turns out that C20 didn't support the use of direct connection to VPN server through the router. if you can see in their spec page https://www.tp-link.com/id/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-c20/#specifications (C20) compare to C3150 https://www.tp-link.com/id/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-c3150-v2/#specifications. In C3150 they specifically mention that they support VPN connection through PPTP and OpenVPN.

@johnhorasia Thanks. At least they let you practice how to to it with this unseless option on the C20 :-D
