TL-WN823N: No stable connection
Hi,
my router is a FRITZ!Box 7270 V3 (latest OS), 2.4 GHz, 802.11n+g, WPA2. There is only one PC (Windows 10 x64) connected via cable, just 1 m away.
As I'm about to move to one floor above, I bought the mentioned WiFi stick. I've configured the router and disabled my onboard NIC for testing purpose as this will be the future situation. I've installed the correct drivers for the stick. It connects to the router successfully. 300 mbit/s are shown in the router's list of connected wifi devices. Signal strength is maximum. Perfect.
However, the connection isn't kept in the long run. So I was pinging the router permanently. It shows:

Whatever I tried, I couldn't get it to work reliably for more than few minutes. The interruption is random. Again, it's just 1 m away from the router. I've tried another USB port without success. I've tried different Wifi channels (around 2.4 GHz) without success. I've tried WPS, which did work, but, as expected, it doesn't make the connection more stable.
I live in the countryside, and there are no other networks around. At least none are found by the stick or the router. The next one might be at my neighbour about 50 m away.
My smartphone's wifi connection works without any interruption also in the long run. Not a single disconnect even when watching long videos. No matter if close to the router or further away.
Unfortunatelly, I bought the stick already two years ago because I thought I needed it. Now I do need it, so I've verified if the problems still persist. Before ordering a new one (sorry, no TP-Link then...) I'd like to ask here about any idea you might have.
Thanks
