Internet drops, WAN release/renew seems to work
Hi everyone, thanks in advance for your help.
Recently moved into an appartment complex. I am have a Ethernet socket connected to my router.
The WiFi itself seems to work very well and rapidly, however the internet connection itself drops after 10-30 minutes.
The quality and speed of the internet is very good while it works (able to stream in HD, no signs of low bandwith or interuptions).
As soon as I release and renew the WAN (Dynamic IP), my connection works again for the said interval 10-30 minutes.
The IP, Mask and Gateway don't seem to change as I release and renew it > I am assigned the same variables yet somehow it fixed the issue.
What could be a solution? Is it a misconfiguration? I set-up the router using a hard reset initially to clear old settings.
Is this something time might resolve? Every studio here has their own router, so I suspect maybe it is the main buildings DHCP which assigned the IP to the old router that used to be in place maybe?
Happy with all your suggestions and possible solutions! I need it to work from home as-of corona, so I am worried.
