Hey guys, i'm having a problem with the Archer C5 Wifi Router that is connected by Ethernet cable to my providers modem. My original provider's modem gives me around 200mb/s in a 5ghz band, which is good. But the problem is that that when i connect to the 5ghz of the Archer C50 it gives me around 80mb/s. Why is this happening? 

 

I'm using the Archer C50 as an Acces Point, connected through a Cat6 ethernet to my providers Modem. The Ethernet cable is around 25ft long. 

 

- 5 GHZ speed on the original modem is 200mb/s

 

- 5 GHZ speed on the Archer C50 is 80mb/s

@danportillog Some solution I have the same problem with my archer a6 and I have your same configuration.

@UxfabiaN i think i have the solution. I spoke to the TP-Link Call Center and they said the Archer c50 is not a "gigabyte" router and that means it can't provide more than 100mb/s. 

 

You need to make sure that you pick up a model that is "gigabyte". You can also make you sure by checking the Specifications and under the "LAN ports" it should say "10/100/1000 mb/s". The one i got (archer c50 says "10-100mb//" so yeah. that makes sense.

 

I returned my modem and i'm going to order the "Archer C50 Gigabyte". Hope that helps.

@danportillog Hi, i have the Archer A6, this router is Gygabite the ports say: 4*10/100/1000Mbps LAN Ports, 1*10/100/1000Mbps WAN Port
