Alot of problems with the AX6000
Hello there TP-link Community.
I got a few problems with my Archer AX6000
Note: i tested the same results on all devices in my house. (smart tv's, ios, android. etc.)
I got a 350 up and down fiber bundle.
- Sometimes very slow wifi speeds (250kb up/down) I tested this with my fiber modem and got normal speeds
- Connected but no WIFI
- Can't connect at all to my WIFI network
- Some devices randomly dissconect from WIFI, and it's hard to reconnect sometimes they even wont reconnect.
- Wifi network dissapears for awhile. (5/10min)
- Function 'Smart Connect' does not work, does not switch to 2.4hz when futher away, just disconnects. (when making a guest WIFI network on 2.4hz i get better range)
I also tried a old modem router from our previous ISP and got no problems (range was not great)
I would love to keep this router but all these problems are getting annoying.
Greetings Blanc.

@TadBR I'm currently running the 1.0.7 BETA version, and still having problems with Qos and the WIFI signal. but it seems turning off 5Ghz. band improves the connectivity alot.

I am having the same problems with my AX6000. This unit is nothing but a problem. 2.4gh keeps dropping and loosing my hardware. I spend everyday rebooting, and reconnecting hardware that drops and cannot reconnect. Router says cannot authenticate password you typed in on many devices that get dropped, even though password is correct and the router should automatically reconnect with devices. I am so frustrated with this companies product. How can they sell a $300+ unit to the consumers and not have it full tested.
I am running on version 1.07 Build 20200212 release 7095 Firmware up to date
2.4 side keeps dropping and router needs to be rebooted.
Regards,
Not a Happy Customer.

Hi @Cawsie1962
To be honest with you, return the model and go with a different brand because sadly tp-link does not respond and act on these problems with their AX line-up. Even their older models have these problems, like stated on the forums.

Can anyone tell me if enabling Smart Connect the band width is limited to 80 MHz?
When turned off I can connect Wi-Fi 5 1.7 Gbps on 160 MHz and Wi-Fi 6 2.4 Gbps on 160 MHz.
As soon as I turn on Smart Connect, both devices max at 867 Mbps.
Is this a bug or a limitation of the feature?

@Blanc That's a problem in some cases where returning it not possible.
So, TP-Link Support team, is this really going to be the end of it? Aren't you going to move and at least try to do something before you lose loyal customers? I've been buying tp-link products for the past 5 years at least. This AX6000 has a lot of potential to be another great product, it only depends on you.
