Download Speed only about half of upload speed. Archer T6E V1

Hello
Environment:
Windows 10 64 Bit.
ISP - Fiber connection 500/500 down and up.
5GHz wi-fi connected at about 600 mb/s.
Using speedtest.net for .. you guessed it. Speed testing :)
What I have already tried:
Reset everthing.
Had windows 10 forget the wifi network. Rebooted and reconnected to wifi.
Fiddled with all sorts of things in the adapters properties. Nothing made it better. Only worse for some things.
Tried latest windows 10 driver (auto detects as a broadcom) Driver from 02-2020
Tried latest drivers from TP-Link. Driver says it is from 2015 but reports after install as being from 2014.
There is NOT DOUBT that this is an issue with the T6E or its driver.
My problem is that my download speed is only about half of my upload speed. Typically I get about 175 mb/s download and 350 mb/s upload. This is very consistent.
Now if I test this on a laptop or my iPhone at the same physical location I get about 350mb/s both down and up. Again. Very stable.
Using a cable i get 500+ mb/s down and up.
The archer t6e though refuses to match those download speeds.
Any idea what to do?
