Wifi security WPA2 AES missing in Deco M9 Plus?
I am trying to connect my car ( Volvo XC60 ) to my Wifi. The car wants me to change WPA2 to AES instead of TKIP!
So no connection!
Connection to another Wifi router with WPA2 AES is OK!
I can not find any place in the Deco M9 settings to change Wifi security!
Any clues??

The Cameras are model number IPM-HX1W. They were also called the "Shield" model.
For the sentence you asked me to clarify: The process was:
Set Deco to AES only after upgrading firmware
-> Cameras won't connect
Set Decob back to AES TKIP
-> Cameras connect... log into cameras and switch them to different SSID / WiFi access point
Set Deco back to AES only
-> Log into cameras (which are still on the other access point). Change camera settings so they connect to Deco network. The cameras connect to the Deco netowork in AES only mode.

@TP-Link_Deco Thanks for this :)
Can you give me the link to the website where i can download beta firmware updates on my own or are all the links beta version specific?

Hi - the I have deco M9 Plus V2 - but your instructions on this thread do not work. I cannot log into the browser at all - the URL nor the IP address work
TP Link upgrade advice:
-
Upgrading Steps
Step 1 Connect your device to the Deco network (wired or wirelessly).
Step 2 Launch a web browser, enter http://tplinkdeco.net or the LAN IP address shown on the Deco app in the address bar to access the web management page of the Deco.
Tips: To find the LAN IP address, please launch the Deco app and go to More > Advanced > LAN IP.
I have upgraded to iOS 14 & now have problems with my iPhone. I need to be able access WPA2 AES. my 3 devices are showing firmware version 1.2.11 & are not choosing to upgrade if you have pushed a production upgrade 'out there'. I am on a Mac - I have tried to log into the URL & the IP in Safari & Chrome, but to no avail. Can you please offer some advice as to how I can access my devices to be able to complete this upgrade?

@TheMacginty you must first upgrade to 1.4 using the upgrade tool discussed many times on this forum, then you get web browser access to get this new upgrade.

@cacb - I was brand new to the forum as of yesterday & had not seen any mention of an upgrade tool. For any others who may not be aware, it's here --> https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/deco-m9-plus/#Utility

Hello all, thanks very much for your patiently waiting and support.
Our developers recently have provided a beta firmware for the Deco M5 and Deco M9 Plus, which allows you to change the wireless security type for your Deco network, here is the download link if you are willing to update it:
Deco M5: https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202009/20200915/M5_1.5.0_fixed_wifi_security_as_WPA2-AES.zip
Deco M9 Plus_V1: https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202009/20200917/Deco_M9Plus_V1_1.4.3.zip
Deco M9 Plus_V2: https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202009/20200917/Deco_M9Plus_V2_1.4.3.zip
Note: Ensure you are running the latest Deco app on your phone first, Android version 2.2.1, and iOS 2.2.2.
Let the community know if you have any inquiries, thanks a lot~
@TP-Link_Deco Hello, I have just upgraded my Deco M9 Plus v2 to 1.4.3 firmware version successfully, however I couldn't find anywhere to disable TKIP, either by Deco app (newest update) or by accessing http://tplinkdeco.net. Could you please advise?

I don't want to install beta versions of the firmware. What is the ETA of the stable version for the Deco M9 plus V2?
Will it support both WPA2-AES as WPA3? And will it be offered through the app? Updating it through the updater software I experienced as less user friendly.
Currently I'm on version 1.4.2 20200725 build 65637.
thnx.
