Bought TP link Archer C5 V4 few days back. 5Ghz is not showing on device wifi list
Hi,
Few days back i ought TP link C5 V4 Dual band router from a renowned shop in Bangladesh. Seems like none of my device cann't use 5Ghz wifi due to some regional restriction. Only 4 channel are available in the router. Is there any solution for this perticuler router. Already done everything but no luck.

This is due to regulation problems.
Set 5GHZ to channel 44 and channel width to 40MHZ, and then
Try switching the phone to airplane mode and see if 5GHZ is discoverable.
This should fix the problem but Archer C5 stock firmware has a lot of vulnerabilities and even if u manage to connect to 5G it disconnects every 5 minutes
TPLink hasnt given a solution for this yet for the asian region
If you are not under warranty you can try flashing build 190815 Firmware ( Available in some EU country pages, make sure your router Version (V4) and region is EU)
It should fix it for a while. Kudos and let me know how it goes!

As understand only latest mobile phones with WiFi receiver having support of 5GHz can only show 5Ghz WLAN.
Please check specification of your mobile WiFi receiver, wether it supports 5GHz or not.
For example refer specs of this mobile

It clearly mentions , it supports only 2.4 GHz.. So, in this you cant see 5GHz WLAN.

Any progress?
Having the same issue.
The problem is modern devices doesn't support lower chanels like 36,40,44,48 etc,
So without setting it to band 4 (147-165) , So US devices won't show the 5GHz SSID

@tzihad Yes the same issue here.
All three bands show up on ipad.
5G band 1 only on android,
Tried evrything but band 2 still not showing

Issue fixed for me(useless fix),
Please contact your local servicing centre.A beta build for band 4 (149-161) has been released but not yet been published in the website.
This build will allow you to change the channel to 149,153,157 and 161. So you will be able to connect to the 5GHz band.But as it is a beta build there are numerous bugs in ther firmware. The 5Ghz connection disconects after every ten minutes, So you need to wait for 5-10s to reconnect thus you won't be able to play games online or stream.This build also removed channel 13,14 from the 2GHz band.Another issue is that vlans are not working.

@tzihad good to hear that they at least made a beta build for the router. did they release any further firmware updates at your local servicing center after the update you were talking about? also is there any drops in the 2.4 GHZ band due to the removal of band 13?
