Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 Build 20200402 rel.52000

Hello,

bought Archer C6 v2 two days ago (13.5.). Setup was alright and everything went kind of smooth, I set up the basic configuration and then checked the firmware update, one was found so I let it upgrade (no hiccups, no power disconnects, everything all right). After the upgrade I had little bit of problem with NAT Boost and complete unstability but got the set up and running again with settings like Dynamic IP from WAN, local DHCP on, some address binding (two), also wifi setup with my own SSID and PSK, nothing fancy (except the mu-mimo), QoS disabled, Network Statistics enabled.

But from this moment of upgrade, the whole network started to experience regular complete internet disconnects, after two days of debugging, factory resets and ISP calls, I think I pinpointed the problem.

The main one is, even with any other additional service disabled (QoS, Traffic Stats, NAT Boost) when I choose the router to get WAN IP dynamically from DHCP it's somehow completly unstable.

Something else I noticed, after the upgrade both NAT Boost and Traffic Stats were enabled. Couldn't really detect if it was just ticked on in web panel but traf. stats were definitely running, so by reading the NAT Boost description both traf. stats and QoS should be/get disabled when this setting is on - at that moment the router was completly unstable on all levels, sometimes dropping whole network. Ticked off NAT Boost and the router is at least stable as is (Wifi, local DHCP, ...).

Don't know if it's the firmware upgrade that caused it because I didn't rellay try the older one.

My topology is the "typical" isp router - own main router with dhcp - rest of network on one 192.168. subnet:

ISP Router, Ubiquiti (WiMax conn.) [WAN: unknown, LAN: device ip is 10.0.0.1, network /24, dhcp from 0.135 to 0.150 at least but unknown, lease time visible in logs]
    |
    | Cable (CAT 5E UTP, 4 pairs) half meter long
    |
TP-Link Archer C6 v2 (This machine) [WAN: Dynamic IP from ISP's Router's LAN, LAN: 192.168.0.1, Local DHCP 192.168.0.100-200, lease time 260]
    ---- Wifi 2.4/5
    |
    | Cable (CAT 5 UTP, 4p) ~10m
    |
TP-Link TL-WR940N (AP only) [WAN: unplugged, LAN: Static 192.168.0.10, dhcp disabled, Wifi enabled (different SSID then Archer), igmp proxy]
    ---- Wifi 2.4

Just a note that before with older Zyxel router instead of this one, everything worked like a charm, no disconnects on wired or wifi, no WAN ip drops. Also, the firmware I am on now can't be downgraded so here goes that. Factory reset done two times now.

I will try to get wireshark logs from "between" of ISPs router and Archer to see if there is anything nasty going on.
