Region : Germany

Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : latest
ISP : Kabel BW Germany
Hello, I have HDD (Toshiba 500GB) connected to router by USB and started media sharing.
(The HDD is started on USB Sharing)
Samsung LED UE40D7090 (2011 model) is successfully connected to network,.
I can see TP-Link on my LED network but it appears with blue exclamation mark and if i try to access the
released folders with files (i can see the files) with TV shows me a message "unknown file formatt" and i can´t access it.
On the PC - I can access video, pictures and mp3 content on USB HDD, problem just with TV.
If i connect the HDD direct to TV , TV can play all files.
Is there any solution available?

How about trying with a video with a different format? It seems the router will only support certain format with different devices. You may take this as a reference:

With this reference i can play all files on my PC (mvi, mp3, jpg.......)
But i will play files directly from TV over router wie HDD.

Same issue here, with a Panasonic Vierra TV - i can play the files directly on the TV from the USB (whther it's avi, mkv, other extension or music), but when i try to play them via DLNA, it says file not supported..so far, the only thing i've managed to play through DLNA is SOME musice (again, some type of files will be "not supported")
How to resolve this issue, did anybody succeed?
Thanks

So how to resolve this, any idea?

Samsung D5500 and WDR3600
2013-06-30 15:10:30
I have same problem with DLNA share:
- try with photos (JPG, BMP too)
- try with different video types (AVI, WMV)
but my TV said: not supported file format, but Samsung D5500 support these formats. I have a WDR3600 with latest firmware (3.13.31 Build 130320 Rel.55761n)
Please check DLNA settings on this router!
Update: I read on other forum, problem with uShare module in FW, but no problem with miniDLNA module. Please check Samsung compatibility in firmware.

Same problem, my samsung smart tv (ua32eh4500) can play movies from pc or usb hd but cannot read file from hd which attached to router. My solution is using android apps on smart phone (expl. BubbleUpnp) to do the job, read files from the attached hd and display it on smart tv.

same problem:
i have setup my router as media server and im able to browse my files/folders from my Toshiba TV. However, i cannot play any movies in my harddisk.. and that is so frustrating..
all movies/pics can be played in my toshiba TV DIRECTLY, but when setting up the media server through c7, not working..
i hope you would release a firmware that can support to play the movies especially *.avi, *.divx, *.BDMV, *.mk2v
i cannot also view the pictures.
OT: will there also be a release of new tp-link tether ipad app to support the new router?
so far, speed is remarkable!

I bought this WDR4300 for the dlna server feature but it's so disapointing that it does not work with my tv. As you guys told above, tv says the format is not recognized but the same files plays fine when directly on USB. I hope that the team fix that bug asap.
