So, i bought this network adapter from tp-link for my desktop computer. This one is mainly for gaming purposes. My average internet speed is 40 mbps while on the box it advertised it would accept up to 150mbps+433Mbps (see source below). On my laptop on the same spot i reach up to 120 mbps so i know that my router and internet provider can handle it. I just dont seem to be getting the same results on my desktop which is quite infuriating. 

I tried reinstalling the driver already and followed this guide below. It didn't do much. I would like some help with this problem.

Hi,

What is the operating system of your computer? How did you install the driver? Use the CD ROM or download it from the official website?

 

How far away between the computer and the main router? What about the wifi signal strength? With your computer connected to the wifi, please check the wireless negotiation speed. Instruction as below:

@Solla-topee I have windows 10 installed. I installed the driver from the official page. Range from pc to router is not more than 10 meters.  WiFi signal strength is full bars. (Both on laptop as desktop) network speed on laptop on the same location is 120 Mbps, desktop with the tp-link adapter has 30 mbps

@Solla-topee The network associated/link speed fluctuates keeps jumping from 175 to 234 mbps.I checked all other possibilties from interference, location, switched from usb 2 to a usb 3 port, my pc has no anti virus scanner exept for windows defender, I had one installed some time ago but i cancelled my subscription and deleted the program. I also have the latest driver installed. I searched on google and i found around 20+ pages with questions about slow speed with this product so its a known issue.
