Hi All,

I am using Archer C5 provided by ACT internet, India.

I am using a interner plan with 100 MBPS.

Presently I am observing that, BW on 2.4Ghz WLAN restricted to 40 MBPS.

Where as it can support of 300 mbps.

Only 5GHz WLAN is giving 100 MBPS.

I want to change settings, So that 2.4Ghz also can also support till 100 mbps.

How can I do it?

I have explored all options around in router, But i could not make out, wherre this restriction has made.

Can some one please help me

Regards

Shiva

Hi, normaly this is done, when you force 40mhz mode on 2.4Ghz band.

In auto mode or smart connect the router decides this.

Best regards.

Dear Atomic,

Thank you understanding and answering my query.

Actually mode for 2.4GHz and 5GHz WLAN's set as "auto" only.

Still, on 2.4GHz WLAN, I am getting maximum of 40 mbps , even though I have internet connection with 100 mbps speed.

On 5GHz WLAN, I am gettingg 100 mbps.

@ShivaJee

Hi,

Set the 2.4GHz channel width from Auto to 40mhz, this should do the trick.

In Auto mode it decides to set 20mhz when there are other stations on the band.

Then you get around 40-50mbps which depends on the hardware of the client.

When you set 40mhz channel width, make sure your client can handle that and you should get 75-100mbps on 2.4GHZ, if there is no interference.

Best regards.
