Why load balancing is not working on TL-R480T+
I have 3 WAN ports confgured WAN1, WAN3, WAN4 (Connection with WAN2 is another issue and for now it is unplugged)
WAN1 Upstream Bandwidth: 20000
Downstream Bandwidth: 60000
WAN3 Upstream Bandwidth: 380
Downstream Bandwidth: 3642
WAN4 Upstream Bandwidth: 700
Downstream Bandwidth: 6000
As you can see WAN1 bandwidth is higer than WAN3 and WAN4 for far.
Load balancing:
Enable Load Balancing (marked)
-
Enable Application Optimized Routing (marked)
-
Enable Bandwidth Based Balance Routing on port(s): (marked and selected WAN1, WAN2, WAN3, WAN4)
If instructions are right, data flow should must prefer WAN1 than WAN3 for aprox. 16:1 and for WAN4 10:1.
But the most of the flow is using WAN3 and WAN3 mostly!
example of Traffic Statistics:
| Interface | TX Rate (KB/s) | RX Rate (KB/s) | TX Packet Rate (Pkt/s) | RX Packet Rate (Pkt/s) | Total TX Bytes | Total RX Bytes | Total TX Packets | Total RX Packets |
|---|
| LAN | 960 | 36 | 717 | 427 | 5.7G | 710.5M | 5.3M | 3.7M |
| WAN1 | 1 | 3 | 3 | 30 | 17.2M | 96.2M | 91345 | 766943 |
| WAN2 | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| WAN3 | 16 | 377 | 176 | 278 | 304.0M | 2.2G | 1.6M | 2.2M |
| WAN4 | 25 | 573 | 239 | 436 | 389.7M | 3.4G | 1.8M | 3.3M |
As you can see, WAN1 IS ALMOST UNUSED! so, my Internet service seems to be slow for all users for this reason.
Why this behavior?
