So I just got the deco M9 plus system yesterday because I was having coverage issues at my home and it seems to have fixed that which is great but I noticed something odd.

 

My Internet package is 250mbps download and upload and the maximum bandwidth I can get on the deco is always below 100mbps, on both wired and wireless. I tested this standing very close to primary deco and measured speed on phone and laptop on WiFi, also tried plugging in my laptop directly to the primary deco and also wirelessly in other locations in my home. When I disconnected the deco and plugged in my old router, I was getting the expected speeds (over 200mbps).

 

I have already set the total bandwidth in the QoS to 1024, with no high priority devices and set it on standard mode. 

 

I tried changing the ethernet port on the deco that is connected to the modem, and the speeds went up to over 200mbps for maybe 15-20 minutes but when I checked again later, they were back down to below 100mbps.

 

Firmware is updated to the latest version, primary deco is connected directly to ISPs modem and secondary deco is quite close to the primary deco, no walls between them. All my speedtests have been with the speedtest built into the deco app as well as speedtest website/app.

As you can see, the deco itself only seems to get about 90mbps from the modem. 

 

But after switching ethernet port on the deco, speed goes up for a little while before coming back down to 90s.

@ankur3000 I'm having the exact same issue with Deco M5. Did you manage to resolve it?

1. Why Have you set the QOS to 1024, if you internet connections is 250 MBPS then sit it to 250 MBPS Only for its proper functioning.

2. Check the patch cord connecting Modem to your Main Deco, faulty patch cables sometimes do not support 1000 MBPS lan which is essential for speeds above 100 MBPS.

At first I just switched the ethernet port at the back of the Deco M9 and that fixed it, but the same issue would happen again after some time.

 

Later I realized the problem was being caused by me messing with the QOS setting. I just reset everything to factory defaults, set everything else I needed to except the QOS, just don't touch it. Problem hasn't resurfaced since.

For anyone following, looks like the issue I had was with the network cable, I switched to a different one and it works great ever since.

@Idanbd Switched the cables, changed to Acess Point, and it doesn't get faster than 88 Mbps. crying

@GoncaloLuis Please check whether the router from which you are connecting to deco has a gigabit lan port or not?

@soulMolecule lease check whether the router from which you are connecting to deco has a gigabit lan port or not. 

verify QoS settings , restore to factory settings and see if it was fixed.

I'm having exactly the same problem, I just installed a x60 package with 2 units and it doesn't go over 100mbps and my network is 500mbps, disappointing, I've done all the steps suggested by TP-Link but nothing solves it, I'm on firmware 1.5 .1  .
