Model: EAP225
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 2.7.0 Build 20200113 Rel. 38287

Hi all,

I use a Omada OC 200, with 3 EAP 225 (AC 1350 Wireless) and 1 EAP 110 Outdoor.

When i updated my controller to the newest version, the controller said he couldnt manage de EAP 225, even though they had the newest firmware. Updating them isn't possible because it says they already have this version.

I can however manage the eap 110. When i downgrade back to a lower version of the OC200 I can manage the 225s, but can't manage the eap 110 full(no statistics, bad connection etc).

Who can help me out?

Thanks in advance!

Dear @Chaim,

When i updated my controller to the newest version, the controller said he couldnt manage de EAP 225, even though they had the newest firmware. Updating them isn't possible because it says they already have this version.

The newest version of the OC200 controller is updated to the SDN platform. To manage the Omada EAPs properly, please upgrade all of the EAPs to the SDN firmware. Please kindly note that the SDN firmware for EAP225 V3 is Build 20200630 instead of Build 20200113. Below is the firmware download link for the EAP225.

I can however manage the eap 110. When i downgrade back to a lower version of the OC200 I can manage the 225s, but can't manage the eap 110 full(no statistics, bad connection etc).

The OC200 is not for SDN after you downgrade it, while the EAP110 is still running with SDN firmware and EAP225s runs with non-SDN firmware, so you cannot properly manage the EAP110 unit but can manage the EAP225. For your case, you can choose to upgrade to SDN firmware or downgrade the EAP110 to non-SDN firmware according to your needs. Please read the FAQ below for more details.
