Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20200714 rel.18254

Hello,

My router has stopped sharing 5ghz network on auto mode. The network keeps appearing and disappearing and during those small intervals of time when connection is possible, the speed is extremely low. Meanwhile 2ghz and wired connection works perfectly.

The available solutions in terms of setting:

  1. The pre-defined channel 40 for 5ghz network did not help;
  2. To update to beta firmware as of end of July did not help either.

Would you be so kind to explain to me what needs to be done in order to make this state-of-art router work properly? Let me know if I need to provide some specific information to fix the issue.

Thanks.

@Ashes

Have you given 2.4 and 5g different names?

@Cawsie, yes, sure. I even tried to do reset and named both networks with new names. Anyway, if you turn on smart routing and then disable it, 2 networks have the same name and they can be observed at times simultaneously. The problem is not in the fact that it does not exist, the problem is that it is completely unstable and the speed is about zero.

@Ashes  I was having issues connecting the the routers 5g also after a day or so. I reset the router to back to factory. Going through the settings I left 5g in aes security. I was using tkip before because I replaced an old router that only had tkip. I didnt want to go to each device and re enter the password initally. Now on aes security I have not had an issue for 7 days.
