Hi TP-Link community, I am interested in buying Deco X60, I have a question, can I create multiple SSD and use mesh to broadcast same home wifi across the home. (broadcast both SSID i.e: rather than one wifi we will have two wifi across the house with decent coverage)

 

For example, one SSID for home usage and other for IOT device, this will enable me to ensure that SSID is not interrupted and also white list certain IP ranges only for IOT related network (as this really worries due the fact most of the IOT devices and IP cameras are from ebay)

There is one main SSID and another for guest. That's it.

@APlinkmel80 Yep. It causes issues with HomePod stereo pairs. There are multiple threads requesting TP-Link to do something about it. However, they are unrsponsive. I'll likley take advantage of Costco's return policy and switch to something elese. It's a shame because the X60's are great otherwise.

I agree it’s such a great product but looks like we cannot have multiple SSID

Hey, Bro, Deco is mainly used for Mesh. And if there are multiple SSIDs, the Mesh feature would be useless. That is what I think. And if you need multiple SSID, I guess the Deco is not the right choice and maybe you could consider their AX routers.

  @McFly Could Deco be part of two routers sharing one internet connection setup?
