Setting Router to 2.4GHz Channel
I need to set the Router to 2.4GHz Channel for my wireless access point, so as to operate some lighting.
Can anyone please take me through, in layman's terms, how to do this?
many thanks.

@Ivaylo No, sorry. I have it configured as an access point, which is what I want. I then want to access WiFi via the 2.4GHz channel, so as to control room logging via WiFi.

So far you've set it up as an AP. I presume you have configured the Wi-Fi already (on the TL-WA901ND).
Would you explain in more details, what are you trying to achieve ? Sorry, I didn't get your goal.
What would you like to have configured further ?

@Ivaylo I assume that when using WiFi, the strongest channel is used, so it will automatically link in to the best channel. To control my room lights I need the WiFi channel to remain on 2.4 and not 5.2. I would like to configure the router to work only on channel 2.4.

@Ivaylo I will be using an iPhone, with the switch being a Maxico Smart Switch. The switch only supports the 2.4 network.

OK, nowadays the majority of IoT devices are 2.4GHz only capable. That doesn't mean that you have to disable 5GHz band on your main router. You just have to connect your Maxico Smart Switch to the 2.4GHz network and start using it. At the same time you can still use the 5GHz network for your 5GHz capable devices.

@Ivaylo Thank you. Very helpful. I will set it up this week and will let you know as to how it
goes. Once again, thank you.
