@Kevin_Z Hi,

any chance for a beta for EU/ITA firmware for C7_V5?

Thanks in advance.

Hell all, thank you all for your patient waiting.

We have recently received a beta firmware to resolve this issue, please give it a try on the Archer C7 if you need this USB access with authentication, thanks:

I hope this helps.

Hello, are you experiencing the same issue with other on this post? Is your Archer C7_V5 an EU version or IT version? Please confirm it on the router bottom label, thanks.

@mike_99

Is your Archer A7 a US version or an EU one? We currently only have the beta firmware for the US version, if yours is an EU version, we may need to confirm with the R&D.

Please confirm if you are encountering the same issue as the others in this post that you cannot access the HDD once enabled authentication, what is the error message, thanks.

@Kevin_Z

Thanks for your reply!

I think my Archer A7 is an EU one as I bought it in Germany. The hardware version is Archer A7 v5.0.

And yes, it's the same issue as the other ones: the message is that user name and/or password is incorrect!

Hi,

yeah, I have the same issue. Cannot log in shares with auth ON.

I'm on C7_V5 hardware,

FirmWare: Archer C7(EU)_V5_201030\c7v5_us-up-ver1-0-16-P1[20201030-rel55736]_2020-10-30_15.32.02.bin

tested with Win10, smbclient on raspian and kodi on X1X.

on Firmware:Archer C7(EU)_V5 200628\Archer C7(EU)_V5 200628.bin

everything works fine.

@Kevin_Z  sorry, I not made myself clear, i don't speak English.

I've not tested the beta FW because i have an EU C7.

What i was saying was that the new, last, EU FW (201030) has the bug, if you downgrade to the previous one (200628 or 190726) authentication works fine.
