Model: TL-WR940N
Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: 3.20.1

Hello,

we just bought a TL-WR940N router today but it has newer firmware and HTTPS based web interface. due to this new feature of HTTPS based web UI it is dead slow and won't work from remote access. The interface loads very slow and broken. It won't load completely and the side menu won't show up at all. Please help.

Can't you turn HTTPS management off to see if that would help ?

@Ivaylo No, it doesn't have option to turn it off for WAN side. It is enabled by default and when i forcefully try to access it using HTTP only it redirects me to HTTPS

Have you tried to access the router remotely from different devices to isolate any browser issues on your computer ?

Downgrade to a previous FW version (w/o HTTPS) is an option that's worth a try too (if possible).

The other option as a workaround:

If you have a server/PC in your network (24/7), you can access that server remotely (RDP, etc.) and then make an HTTP web session to the router LAN IP (that would be from inside you network) for management.

If this was helpful click once on the arrow pointing upward. If this solves your issue, click once the star to mark it as a "Recommended Solution".

@ne.khi The problem only comes in Google chrome in new firmware of TL-WR940N .  I tried in firefox and its working like a charm.

If you have find any solution kindly assist all.
I also have old version for the same model. what I found is " In new version SSH port is compulsory and we can't disable it". this is the cause actually for slow WEB UI.
