Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.5 Build 20200630 rel.57406(4555)

Hello guys,
I'm reaching you with the following question.
I've got a not big apartment(about 100 square meters) and have two Archer C6 routers - one at the living room(at the one side of the apartment) and one at one of the bedrooms(at the other side of the apartment). I made their settings as follows:

Primary router 2.4GHz settings

Primary router 5GHz settings:

Secondary router 2.4GHz settings:

Secondary router 5GHz settings:

They are using the same passwords.

On the other hand I am connecting the two routers LAN to LAN.

The problem is that when I move from room to room it looks like the network switching is working fine but for some reason the internet is kind of stuck. Has to disable the device wifi and enable it again. Then no problems. Tried to make the secondary router operate as an AP but it's the same. Tried to turn the Smart connect for both the routers but it's the same.

I have another more minor problem. When only one of the routers is turned on and I'm let's say 20m from it with closed doors it looks like the internet stops. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance for the responses! I'm ready to apply more screenshot from the settings if needed.

If you are going to have both (2.4 & 5 GHz) SSIDs the same, then better turn SmartConnect ON. The best way to extend your wireless coverage is to use the second router in AP mode (LAN=>WAN) - check this reference. In the wireless settings I would set both Chanel and Channel Width to Auto and do the test again.

It is recommended to upgrade your FW to the latest one.

And when switched to Smart Connect there is no option for changing Channel and Width.

@Hristian .

Right, so if you decide to use different SSIDs for 2.4 & 5 GHz and turn SmartConnect OFF, then you can use AUTO settings - it's your preference.

But for now just test with SmarConnect ON.

I believe your router is EU version and the latest FW is here - 1.3.6.

@Ivaylo I'm based in Bulgaria as you suppose so yes it's EU. Tomorrow will try to install the one from the link. I've changed the operation mode to AP and switched both to SmartConnect so will monitor the process.

Thanks!
