Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I happen to have powerline adapters exactly where my two child M5s are being placed. Is it wise to use the powerline adapters for a backhaul to them (& plug wired in devices directly into the spare M5 lan socket)?

@NeilF

Using powerline adapters will not break Deco M5. Why can't you try it and share your experience in this forum. M5 wired to powerline adapter will see it as Ethernet backhaul and will use it. Depending on electric wiring and type of powerline adapters you might get better or worse results than with M5 WiFi backhaul.

Well I tried an AV600 homeplug as a backhaul, and ran file transfers with and without it, and if anything without was a tad quicker. Although with might have been a more constant rate.
